Stem + Glory, Cambridge’s plant based restaurant brand, has been accepted into the highly selective CrowdBoost accelerator programme organised and hosted by Virgin Start Up and will be launching an equity crowdfunding campaign on Crowdcube in March 2018 to raise funds for a third location, and preparations for a national roll out.
As part of the CrowdBoost Programme, Virgin Start Up will be providing resources and support to Stem + Glory for the upcoming campaign.
Says Louise Palmer-Masterton, founder of Stem + Glory, “We are delighted to have been selected by Virgin Start Up for our forthcoming campaign, it’s been an exciting 2017 and we are looking forward to this next step towards a Stem + Glory in every town!”
Stem + Glory are an independent Cambridge business. Under the umbrella of parent company CAMYOGA Stem + Glory won the Cambridge Business Excellence Awards ‘Small Business of the Year’ in March 2017, and the Cambridge Food and Drink Awards ‘Best Newcomer’ in August 2017.
Stem + Glory opened its first location in Cambridge in October 2016 after a wildly successful Crowdfunding campaign raising £100,000 in just 21 days. Staying abreast of this rapid growth and the opportunities it presented, Stem + Glory 2 opened by way of acquisition of an existing flourishing cafe in Cambridge city centre in Nov 2017. There was a queue down the street at 8am on opening day.
The brand are now poised for a national roll out with an equity Crowdcube campaign to raise funds for a third location and development of the brand.
